ABOUT

All about
Momentum

Momentum Health was born from personal experience and professional expertise. When Penelope Trunk, a founder of two workforce development companies, discovered that she and her children have autism, she encountered a significant gap in healthcare resources for neurodiverse women. Traditional employee benefits often failed to address how neurodiversity presents differently in women, despite their strong presence in the workforce.

This realization led Penelope to spend three years at Harvard University researching the factors that influence neurodiverse women's career trajectories.

Meanwhile, she had been sharing ideas and discussing solutions with her long-time friend and now co-founder, Derek Scruggs, whose experience as CTO at multiple early-stage startups brought valuable technical perspective to the challenge.

Together, they collaborated with researchers to develop a groundbreaking diagnostic program that helps women balance their careers while advocating for themselves and their families. The overwhelming response to pilot testing demonstrated an urgent market need, with participants eager to purchase the diagnostic tools on the spot.

Today, Momentum Health, led by Penelope and Derek, offers a comprehensive suite of tools and services supporting neurodiverse employees at every stage of their journey. Our solutions help employers retain high-performing talent while providing cost-effective, inclusive benefits that acknowledge and support neurodiversity in the workplace.
